Ever since I started fishkeeping, 3 years ago (that long already?), I've never had the space/money for a larger tank. I started out with a 5 gallon which ran for about 2 years, until it went into the basement. I've had my current tank, a 2.5, running for 2 years now. I'ts kinda ironic that I'm on a fish site and I oly have 1 fish, but that's beside the point.

Anyway, my family's moving and we're getting rid of alot of stuff. This means room for more stuff. My brother and I are both fanatics when it comes to animals. Around Novemeber, I got a guinea pig. Now, today, my brother got a betta. When we move, he's going to get a bird. Then, I'm going to ask my friend if she wants the dusty 30 gallon fishtank sitting in her basement. Down the road, I'm gona buy some shelves and do a betta/plant mix. In a few years, I might even save up to buy a 75 gallon tank - or 2! It seems all that time has payed off!

Congratulations dj! I know the feeling of only having so much room and not being able to have what you want. I actually had to lose some 10s because of it at one point...but now I have plenty of roomyeah right like we ever have enough room, right?:%) Anyways I hope she doesn't want the 30, and everyone involved will let you get it. I know my walmart here by houston, has a great shelf set...strong enough to hold 250 lbs I'm thinking I need at least one moreHeidi

Keep thinking positive dj. I'm impressed that you've kept your interest up with being able to have only the 1 tank and 1 fish. I'll bet you get that 30 gallon and it will probably be a great looking tank when you're done.
