Rams are possible in a 10 gallon (with a godawful amount of water changes).

I would have to say my 10 gallon only with more plants.

1 Bolivian ram
3 Panda cory's
5 bloodfin tetra's

Ok, how about 2 ottos (they're cute I looked 'em up), 1 bolivian ram and Buddy the Betta, and 6 harlequin rasboras? I have a thing for cichlids I think, except I want to stick them in community tanks. I think I'm leaning for 15 gal. I really wish I could go bigger, but I have only limited space and $.

This is an Oto...
They are pretty common in most fish stores, I think. I see them all the time a Petsmart... that is is you have on... A lot of people ahve them. They are great for smaller aquariums because they do not get but abotu 2 inches long, however they can be a little finicky at times. I had soem bad luck with them one time because I did not know what I was doing in the beginning

I would research to see if rams was possible. then I would probably go for shellies anyway.

There is a thread somewhere that has AMAZING shots. I asked some peeps with shellie tanks to post pix. Worth looking at...

What does an otto look like and where would I find one. I tend to shop in Edmonton or St. Albert. Alberta, I have not ordered fish online before.

Both Flying Foxes and Siamese Algae Eaters
grow to 6 inches and are not suitable for a
10 or 15g tank. Neither of these fish should be
kept in anything less than 29 gallons. Flying Foxes
are not algae eaters, they are omnivores.
A much better choice would be Ottos,
or a smaller pleco like a bristlenose.
In a 15g tank, you could keep the betta,
a school of 6 harlequin rasbora,
and 6 panda corys, and maybe 2 ottos.
In a 10g, 1 betta, and either the 6 harles
or the 6 panda corys and 2 ottos.

I am thinking of doing a 10 gal or 15 gal for my betta Buddy (original, I know) I have gotten a lot of great ideas from this thread and others, I think I will put him in with some harlequin rasboras and something for algae what should it be, I have flying foxes or at least one is I think, the other may be a siamese algae eater, or should I buy something else? I really like panda corys but was wondring if the tank could hold enough of them. I would also have plants. CO2? I do not know about C02, I have not used it, please tell me more.

I like to think that whoever designed marine life was thinking of it as basically an entertainment medium. That would explain some of the things down there, some of the unearthly biological contraptions

I would either do a Mickey Mouse Platy tank or a Barb tank. And plants. . . I don't know enough about plants to say which kind, but I would def. have a few plants.
