I admire this fish immensely. So sleek and self-sufficient, like a cat. And that fish is tough. It's lived through atrocities inflicted by an amateur with a 10g tank. And a natural predator in an overcrowded tank? We're a team! I do stupid things, and my CAE cleans it up. I'll have to start feeding Lyra less so that she can swim faster. I do love her, but like my garden--it's survival of the fittest. Thank you for the passionate and unintended flattery of my CAE. ![]() |

Right before I wrote this~~~ I saw the CAE chasing the molly. Now she's hiding in a corner. I thought with that sucker mouth, what could it do? But it's all falling into place now. The temp was up a little on the tank today. Spring just hit and the weather has finally let go of it's chill. I wonder if the increase in temp was causing the agression from the CAE. The frog is still tiny, but I have seen it gulp too close to the snail before (tentacles look delicious, I'm sure). I appreciate the feedback. But can any of these fish or the frog eat shrimp? |

Its big, golden, and ugly, and a nasty bugger to boot. Chinese Algae Eaters are very aggressive fish who eat other fish. They do not choose algae as their number 1 choice of food. Get rid of it, your problems will stop. Keep it, you will end up losing fish inevitably. Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |

Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |
