Hi everyone, just wanted a second opinion, if I might be over stocking.
I have a 75 Gallon tank with fake driftwood and plants, and a few live plants, the filter is fulval 404 rated for 100 gallons
my fish are
- 4 4-6 inch assorted african chiclids
- 2 babies (from one of my bigger ones)
- 2 blue rams
- 1 chinesse alge eater about 4 inches

- and a hand full of feeder guppies(lol)

I don't think i am over stocking, but I am not really sure how big they will get. Do I need to worry about the future?

thanks

the thing to watch out is for the CAE, as when they reach about 6-7 inches, they often become aggressive.

I think your ok for stocking, but the only thing I would be worried about is that those africans might someday kill your rams. If you took them out you could get some more africans for your tank. But if its working for you so far, then stick with it, but as I said I wouldn't get more africans with those rams in there.

What ph is your tank at usually the rams are better off around 6.5 and africans like a higher ph of around 8 or 8+. Sometimes rams can be delicate so I would watch their tank mates. And which lake are your africans from Tanganyika or Malawi.

thanks for all of the replys
I am not sure what lake they are from, or even what they are they were sold under the name assorted african chiclds, and came in different sizes, shapes and colors. I am unable to find any porfiles that match them. My pH is kept at about 7.0, the same as the lfs. As for the african killing the rams I am keeping an eye out, however they appear to only like to chase eachother, as a matter of fact I have BABY frys in the tank most of which are of a decient size, they don't mind them and leave them alone. Everyone is happy, I was just concerned that i might become overstocked in the future

p.s. please check out one of my other threads in General freshwater Amazing story
