Garten, that's pretty much what I sound like. Some more added tidbits...

Don't SCARE me like that!

What on EARTH are you doing?!

Awww! Cory pile!

You guys having fun?

Pigs! (To the betta girls, who like to eat the cories' food.)

Hey, where you going?

What ARE you doing there?

Ack! That's MINE! Kindly stop biting!

Just what do you think you're doing?

You do realize that's plastic, right? You can't EAT the syphon!

If talking to your fish is weird... well, think about it! I'm Kitten... a talking cat keeping fish and TALKING to them? Yeesh! What's the world coming to?!

~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~

"Hello darlings, how are you today? I know you want some food. Oh, hello speckles georgous, you're even more fat today, are you sure you don't have any babies? Blackberry, no chasing the babies, you're a naughty boy aren't you?"
Feeding the 40 litre tank. Speckles and black berry are 2 of my platys. And at the moment there is around 16 babies of different sizes in there.Speckles is the fattest fish you have ever seen. Surely she is pregnant, but she doesn't want to have her babies alright.]
"Speckles, come here and give mummy a pat. Good girl, what a cutie you are. Look darlings, here's some food for you, Speckles, heres some from my fingers!"

Good I'm not the only one who swears at their fish for splashing water, of course I've learned throw in live crickets, shut hood quick and hold it down, the splashing will end eventually

Then there is Rusty the pig, when he decides to bite at the "inside of my knuckles" while being fed, and won't let go till i've yanked him out of the water and pried his jaws open...*Daggumit you stupid, idiotic fish, don't you realize that is your momma you're biting, let go, let go now, or you're caat food*

The female guppies "So who is the new momma in the tank, oh what a good momma, look at all the pretty babies"; "Little momma when are you going to drop your fry? You look ready to bust, it must be soon."

The bettas, "Look what a pretty boy you are."; "Come on flare for momma, come on, I want to get some pictures of you flaring, come one flare for me."

The cory fry, "Oh look at you, you are so teeny teeny tiny," "So what kind of cory are you going to grow up to be?" "Come on baby, come get some food, come one baby."

The 125 in general, "Come on piggy wiggies, it's supper time." "Heads up, yikes that was the wall you fool." "Hey now that is too big for you to shove in your mouth!" "Hey BN don't run over everyone, there is plenty for everyone, and I can always add more, watch it" and of course, "Who wants blood warms? Come and get them...hey you missed those over there, go get them." and one last one, "Heads up!!! Clown Loach incoming!!!!"

My boyfriend always thought I was nuts talking to the fish. Then I caught him calling the blue gourami Pecan and telling him to come get some food before the tetras ate it all.

I'm with bensaf.....my angels love to splash water at me when I feed them, then I swear at them and threaten to stop feeding them. They probably think I love it or something <<---those guys have question marks, even if you can't see them.

Hi,
"A long, long, time ago..." When I was but a lad, I used
to firmly believe that my Grandmother was bonkers. Each
morning when fixing a breakfast of sausage, eggs, and flap
jacks, she would talk to their two dogs (boxers) "susie"
and "zipper." She'd ask them what they wanted and the two
dogs would "talk" back to her. It was quite an animated
conversation between the three. Eventually, they would each
get a homemade sausage patty or two, while we kids, no
matter how good we were, or how hard we tried, only
got one - and it was smaller than the dogs!!

Fast forward to today, after having a kennel for 13 years
in Virginia, and now here in Colorado, two cats, I have
discovered that my Grandmother was not certifiably insane,
and that we all talk to our animals. Especially those that
interact with us.

But - I have not yet found myself talking to the fish.
sorry.

Frank

I do talk to my fishys too.

I find that it's probably the same as someone talking to their dog or cat...

I tend to talk to my bettas because they are so responsive. You're only nuts for talking to them, if you tell people who don't enjoy fish.

Phew!

I feel better already.

I think I say:

"Whose the fattest clown in this tank?"

"How are you doing today?"

"Who wants food?"

"Stop fighting!"

"Missy, stop biting my hand, or I will get in there, and bite ur *Edit"

"When u gonna give me some babies, u good for nothing nincompoop" (to my male swordtail)

And everymorning at 4 am, I kiss the little clowny who loves to sleep on top of the filter right next to the glass and scare him out of his sleep.

Okay, I must be crazy!!

Always like a good natter with the fishes ... and I'm sure they love it in return. Infact I kind of chose my name because I'm sometimes heard saying "who's your mama?" at the tank ... is that wrong?

"Hello beautiful"
"do you want any more worms?"
"how's my babies doing?"
"you're a perfect specimen of a pleco!"

No, not me

Typical things I say to my fish:

"I JUST FED YOU, YOU STUPID PIGS!"

"Whadda pwetty fishie!"

"Whatcha doin' in der?"

"Well hello."

"Who's a pretty boy?"

"Mr. Clown Loach... get the snail!! Go on, go get it! Fetch, boy!"

"Who wants blood worms today?"

"Excuse me, that's my hand. Kindly STOP BITING IT!"

Yes, I am undeniably off my rocker... or just an animal lover. Take your pick
