My LFS is selling me a semi used tank (180G)...$550
includes the stand too....only thing missing is the light fixture.

I figure light fixture wont bother me much since iam not going to make this one into anything fancy like planted tank....will be used to hold my 6 Clown Loaches and 1 BGK which currently resides in 75G heavily planted tank

You'd pay that or more for a new tank alone. My experience is that the stand is often just as if not more expensive then the tank, depending of course on style ect.
Does it @least have the glass canopy? If not you will have to pick one up, water loss not to mention fish loss.

I'd go for it if you've got the space. Any chance you could do a leak test on the tank in the store? Or have them set one up?

I think it's a good buy.

Just a question, does it come with a filter/sump?

GO FOR IT!!! That sounds like a great deal to me!!! No scratches, comes with a glass lid, with stand--$550...oh yes go get it before they change their minds or someone else gets it...If you have the money and the room get it...If you have the money, but not the room, throw the couch or some other nonimportant piece of furniture out the door...who needs a bed anyways Great Find!!! You wouldn't happen to be in the Houston area are you? Are there more like it? heidi

IMO it sounds like a horrible deal..over 500 dollars for a 180 g. used isnt that amazing...at my lfs (Petco) they have a 600+ gallon glass fish tank with stand and 180 g. sump that connects to the back of the tank for sale for 300 dollars because they are doing remodling there and have to get rid of that tank asap..anyways the guy told me that the store bought it a few years back for over 8 grand and are selling it now for 300 so to me, that is an amazing deal...also i forgot to mention that it comes with light hood also..its a very nice flourescent light fixture that comes out of the back(sump box) and hangs over the tank like a basketball hoop

Of course it's not the best deal ever . That would be if someone paied you to take it off their hands and even helped you set it up and everything. Thing is ther'es differences in the quality of the tank, strength of the glass, ect that causes price differences. Considering what a new tank that size can go for it's likely a very good deal.

ofcourse its not the best deal out there, but i think its a very nice deal, and its an All Glass Aquarium tank.

Now that 600G + sump for $300 is a killer deal, but then again who's got the space for it???
