Yep, we Know that this horrible thing is still going today. It has come up from time to time on here, but you didnt know because you are new. Welcome to fish profiles. Never heard of it being called "juicing" though.

That's really cruel & i suggest everybody not to buy Dyed Fish.

I second that jason! Some peoples children, i tell you, sheesh!

Juicing GAAAH! Nasty practise that, god alone knows what they are using for colourants in most cases.

If you told someone that you can make your fish nice and red by blanching them in hot water somebody would do it .Actually it can make them nice and red -and very very dead.

Well ok, they can dye fish as long as i can tatoo derogatory language on their foreheads and force them to drink sunny d till they go orange. Ill explain to them its only a bit of colouring!

Its easy enough to buy a bit of food containing beta carotene to up the fish colour anyway.
