I've just bought three new Otocinclus catfish, and two Cardinal Tetras to rejuvente a shoal that was depleted when one of the 'old timers' passed away due to old age. And, one of my Cardinals is a bit special!

This thread by Cory_Addict explains it all. Cardinals with a 'gold back' mutation. Well, i visited my LFS yesaterday to pick up some dechlorinator, and found that he not only had the Otocinclus I'd been waiting for, but Cardinals as well. And, one of his latest batch was a 'goldback'!

So, back today to pick up the fish and the live food ... and 'goldback' was still there. So I bought him (or her). Yay!

One thing for sure those Ottos and the Cardinals get on well together. I cannot wait for mine to grow to full size.
