Is it ok to keep those brackish water puffer fish together? I heard they don't like tank mates and get nippy or something. And what size of tank would I need for just 1?

Check out http://www.pufferlist.com for a visual id of the puffers. Could be a green spotted, ceylon or figure eight. It also has basic information on keeping each of those.

If started out as juvies, they can be brought up together. I have 2 adult GSPs & a Ceylon puffer living together. They need at least 30g each as adults & a visually complex tank. With puffers though, you never know when you'll get a mean one that should be kept singly.
