WELL! how proud am i?

I got a letter from the council this morning saying "your LSF had been contacted and apropriate action had been taking to ensure the wellfare if the animals in its care. the owner has asked us to pass on his thanks for you bringing this matter to his attention as he was unaware of the goings on with regards to his aquatics (yeh sure!. He also added he will be looking foward to your custom in the near future (so im not barred whoopie)"

WELL.......

I decided to take him up on his offer as i needed some stress coat for my tank!

Nothing was said to me when i entered the shop (i didn't expect anything to be said!)

I got my stress coat and proceeded to check out the oscars

.............

there now in a 125G show tank and looking much better!

I HOPE THIS SHOWS THAT SOMETIMES IF YOU ARE OUT SPOKEN YOU WONT BE IGNORED

johnsfish1984,

Congratulations on following through with the process, you did a good deed in more than one way.
The fish, future customers, and maybe even the owner will be thankful that you intervened.

I admire your stamina, although I have never seen a LFS in such bad shape I am sure that I would have simply switched to another one.

I hope your example motivates me (and any other person here that might get into this situation) to follow your lead.

Great job,

Ingo

Oh and i think im gonna start looking for a job in a LFS im not the most experienced fish keeper but i think i know more than most staff in the stores around my area

hopefully it will help me expand my knowlage and get me more involved in species of fish that i dont (but would like to) keep

yesterday I whent to my regular store and there was a guy working as a fill in for my friend who works there. a woman asked him what fish she could keep in a "tropical tank" he asked what fish she had in the tank, she said "non" i jumped in and recomended mollies to cycle the tank. the woman was greatfull and started asking ME more questions. I realy enjoyed helping this lady out!!

I think i have found a job i would love!

i cannot believe in 6 months of starting this hobby i have decided i want a job in the trade

im truley gripped!

You are amazing! I wish I had that kind of courage! (i would just go to another store....sigh)
I went to walmart to get some things for a lake trip we were taking, and decided to go to the fish dept. A woman was talking to a employee and had a fish bowl in her hand. The employee was telling her to get a goldfish After he left, I quickly went to the woman and told her to get a betta instead! I think that if you can prevent one more fish from being kept uncorecctly, then the educated person will then tell others not to make the same mistake!
Bravo, again, for helping those poor fish!
