Both the old and the new filters have been running on the tank for a little over a week. When can I take the old filter off? |

When the Ammonia reads zero and the nitrites read zero, then remove the old filter. Frank ![]() -->>> The Confidence of Amateurs, is the Envy of Professionals <<<-- |

Usually people give the new filter 2 weeks or so to populate before removing the old one. |

I added a new filter to my 20g 6 weeks ago and I still haven't taken it off. |
