I was doing waterchange yesterday and what did i found...CAE and Half of his body is missing..The CAE was 5-6cm long.
Iam also missing 2 cories but cant find them at all. This is making me crazy
I think the guilty fish must be the pearl cichlid, what do you think?
I have these fish in my 75g tank:
1 RTS Albino..he is small..around 5-6cm
1 Hoplo catfish arond 10cm big
4 Golden Angels (small..5cm)
3 Zebra danios
1 Common pleco..around 8-10cm big
1 Pearl cichlid 10-12cm big..The guilty one..
5 cories..had 7..3-4cm big
1 baby Feather-fin catfish..3-4cm big

I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

I 'd go for the RTS? mine where dreadfully aggressive when the lights were out!
and the pleco will have probably done some of the eating along with the other fish.

sorry about that

GFG

edited to add - actually having read your post properly! i guess the cichlid could have done it.... although small or not those RTS are proper nutters....

I don't think any of the fish could have bullied the CAE to death; they are very boisterous fish and mine can hold their own against koi 2-3 times their size. I assume he probably died of some other cause, and said tankmates were merely exploiting a free food source.

I think that a 5/6cm CAE is very strong & i don't think that any of your fish killed it. Maybe the Pearl Cichlid, but really not sure. Have you ever seen any aggression between them?.

Thats strange because the CAE looks like it was cut in half..maybe it died of other cause and some fish has eaten it..i have seen the pearl cichlid chase some of my fish but not really fighting. What about my 2 cories...they are gone,no trace at all

If they died or where killed, they might be eaten easily. Did you check, under any Driftwood or caves?.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I have to agree with jasonpisani and cupalifenoodles.. I used to own CAE's and they can take it and dish it out.. But being deceased I'd look elsewhere for the problem.

I'm curious as to what a nitrate test would turn up.
Also, any new fish added recently ?

RTS or cichlid if I had to pick a 'whodunit'
