Well, for those of us who live in SE Texas the last few days have been very fruitful. As you may know we have been getting some wonderfull storms in the area which have triggered the spawning instincts in our fish. Over a 3 day period I personally had 7 species spawning, and all just in time for my garage renovation too. This last weekend I had pulled all my growout tanks out of the garage and sold them to a LFS. What timing. Needless to say I am now kicking myself for the planned renovations, hehe. Anyway, I have had to make a choice on what I am keeping and what I let the fish have. Since I am down to only 2 growout tanks ATM I have opted to raise out some very striking Black Jack Dempsies which I have been waiting on for 3 months. Clear out some space in those big tanks guys, in 2 months there will be a glut of very nice jacks in Houston, hehe.

Congratulations, Tanker. I have two spawns in my discus tank with a third pair shaking. Unfortunately I have no room for breeding tanks. Two fellow hobbyists called over the weekend excited about spawns in their tanks. 'Tis the season!

Bob are you in SE Texas? Would be hilarious to suddenly have so many of us FPs in teh area, after looking for awhile

Tanker, I do have 2 spare 10 gallons you could borrow for the time being, or what have you just let me know...I have decided not to get them set up till I know something about this fall

And yes, I will vouch for the weather this past weekend, it was awful, even in SE Houston, where we didn't see the half of what the rest of Houston saw

As far as spawning goes, I know the feeling, a guppy and neon tried to create fry, with both enjoying themselves:%)talk about a weird or beautiful fish if it had worked out My metaes have been a bit to busy, along with everyone else in the tank...Even Leslie's Habrosus have spawned twice this past weekendSo yes, love is in the air...
