Well, I am rather upset, you see my mother was babysitting, and well the kids ended up getting soda in my tanks...whether or not it was an accident it doesn't matter, fact is most of my fish are gone. It really sucks, I raised some since birth and now they're gone. Most of my tanks ended up overstocked anyways, so now I think this is a good chance to clear it all up.

I was left with 2 young mollies, 3 young platies (raised them up myself) 1 rasbora, 1 guppy, 1 paradise fish, 1 female betta, 1 flame gourami (no aggression at all between the 3 labyrinths) I moved them all to my 30 gallon.

Today I bought 5 more rasboras, I'll admit I had the guy since he was my first tropical fish, and never got him a school, just kind of forgot about him. Man, when I saw how active he was with 5 others, I was real happy with the results, I hope to get more of these guys, they're just awesome. I also bought 3 neat looking loaches, they're a little skinny and pretty shy, but they look cool, when they come out of hiding I'll attempt to get a decent picture. I've kept similiar and there was almost no aggression, and when there was it was basically for food.

Well with all those fish, I'm left with a 2.5 Gallon, 2 10's, and a 30. So I'm looking for advice on how to move them about and such. If need be I can buy more tanks, but I doubt I'll need to do that, well until the tanks are stocked...then time for more

I like the rasboras in the 30, so maybe I should base it all around them? Or leave the 30 alone and stock the 2 10's? I have no clue, so I'm open to some suggestions.

You could put the female betta in the 2.5, and the pardise fish in one of the 10 gallon tanks. Just a thought.

Very sorry to hear about your losses I lost a few fish when some of the stepkids decided to feed them chocolate cereal ]:|

I would keep the school of rasboras in the 30g. Eventually you could even add an angel, that's quite a nice combination. Or you could put one of the labyrinth fish (I'm thinking the paradise fish) you have in this tank as a centerpiece.

The 2.5g would be a nice home for the female betta.

Are you interested in your livebearers breeding? I would get your guppy a friend, although I've kept lone guppies with platies and they all act like they're the same species. Again it depends if you're interested in breeding.

Maybe set up one of the 10s with the platies, guppy/guppies and gourami. The other 10 could be home for your mollies.

I hope this helped some

Sorry to hear about your loss.
Here are some ideas:
30 gallon
6 rasboras
3 loaches
1 paradise fish
8 tetras or barbs or corys-more fish

10 gallon -No.1
3 young platys
3 guppies -get 2 more of the same gender

10 gallon- No.2
4 mollies-get 2 more of the same genderand get the smallest you can so the young ones don't get bullied.

2.5 gallon
1 female betta

Hope you like any of these ideas!

Well the guppy gets along with my mollies pretty well, probably because they're so closely related, I'm keeping my eyes out for pregnant mollies now, might get some muppies out of it lol

That all sounds good, I was going to say something about swordtails, but I'm getting yet another tank, atleast 20 gallons, and setting up another 10 I got from somebody. I think I'm going to skip on the 2.5 gallon female betta thing, she really likes the space, and I don't wanna move her from a 30 gallon to something not even 1/3 of that.

Ahh...it's nice getting free tanks lol I've never even paid full price for a tank.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

didn't read the pos, but u should always make sure that the cover is secure. if u have little guest coming then always tape the lid down. if that was a asian arowana that was alot of money, it could be avoided by use adding simple precautions to the lid.

I wasn't expecting any little vistors, and I had the room locked, guess my mom needed something in there and they got in. I'll be a little more careful before I leave the house now.

Well here's what I've come up with. Just need some work done on the 30 then.

30 Gallon
------------
6 Rasbora
3 Loaches (need to buy 1 more, 1 died)
1 Angelfish (need to buy)
-the rest I don't know.

10 Gallon
-----------
1 Flame Gourami (fry control)
3 Platies (1m, 2f)
3 Guppies (have 1 male, will buy 2 more females)
-I figure in this tank, the guppies and platies will eat eachothers fry, and the flame gourami will help, if not I'll put some in the 30, or give some to some friends.

10 Gallon
------------
2 (maybe 3) mollies
1 Paradise Fish
1 Female Betta
-The Paradise fish and the betta have lived with eachother for a while, and no aggression between the 2. The 2 mollies I have are female, and I don't think they're at sexual maturity, so I'm debating on adding another molly with them, and they seem fine in a pair as is.

Everything I put there is what I already have, unless I mentioned need to buy, so those don't have to be added, but the others need to go somewhere. If need be, I'm getting another tank from my neighbor, from around 20-30 gallons, which I think I'll eventually put my mollies. Right now the mollies are about an inch and a quarter long.
