Is it alright to keep fish tank in a room where mosquito mats are used?
I planning to move my tank to the guest room. But if mosquito mats are bad for fish , I will have to make some space in my living room .

bharatk, I sometimes use mosquito mats and I haven't noticed any ill-effects on my fish. I try to minimise their use and keep them as far from the tank as possible.

Mine say "safe for pets" but I have always assumed that to be the furry kind of pets. :%)

What is the active ingredient in the mat? Dichlorvos is one to avoid.

Ah, Dichlorvos. Here in the UK it's marketed under the trade name "Vapona". Comes in plastic grid type holders with a yellow waxy compound inside that contains the Dichlorvos.

VERY not fish safe.
