If your fish is actually a Red-Tailed Black Shark, Labeo bicolor, then you could be okay for a while. If, on the other hand, your fish is genuinely a Black Shark, namely Morulius chrysophekadion, then these are juggernauts that reach two feet, and grow very quickly indeed. An adult Black Shark will need close on 200 gallons just for itself. To help you sort out which you have, here are some links: Red Tailed Black Shark Black Shark (with this link, click on the thumbnails to view the full sized photos). If you genuinely DO have Morulius chrysophekadion, then I would definitely take it back and get something that won't become a tankbuster. Unless you are planning on acquiring a 300 gallon aquarium in the near future ... ![]() |

This should help your filter grow the bacteria it needs to filter waste. It might even be worth taking some of the bigger fish back to the shop and asking for them to hold onto them for a few weeks so that the filter can get used to having so many fish in. anyway, i have tger barbs and blue gouramis myself, they're a good combination, don't bother each other but really set each other off ith the colours |
