I currently have in my 10 gallon:
2 bristle nose catfish-8cm
3 platys-3-5cm
8 platy fry
1 sparkling gourami

I am going to move the brislte nose into another tank very soon. My new stocking will be:

3 platys
2 sparkling gouramis
8 platy fry
I will be keeping 3-4 of the platy fry in this tank so I will have:
6-7 platys
2 sparkling gouramis

Will this be ok? I need answers ASAP as moving will start soon.

itll be overstocked- but i think it would be managable- stick in some fast growing stem plants, and keep up on water changes.

It will certainly be well overstocked when those platy fry get biger and start breding.

Yes, it will be fine for the moment. Just remember to start moving those young platies out as they get bigger, and do something with each batch of incoming fry. The platies could overload the tank if left to their own devices, just be sure that it doesn't come to that!

The platys will be either all female or all male, a I am getting another tank to put the opposite gender in. If they breed I might put the babies in with the gouramis for lunch!

Yes, you are still overstocked, but with weekly water changes, you can do it.
