WHERES MY OSCAR?! -____- my brother's oscar had somehow mysteriously went missing from his tank. my brother had already searched high and low for 30 mins already and still hadnt found the fish on the floor NOR anywhere else in his room. because i was the last person to leave the house my brother thought that I was playing a joke and took it. but after my mom told him off for shouting at me, he ASSUMED someone broke into his room and STOLE his oscar -____-'' sure.. someone broke into the house and took his oscar only.. while nothing else was stolen.. i swear i have never seen my brother so emotional in my life. well i gotta go back and try to find this oscar of his before he gets too emotional and chucks a fit edited for language --Fall Last edited by Fallout at 02-Apr-2005 11:54 |

My cat Carmel is really interested in fish. If the gap to my tanks was any more than 3" she'd be fishing. Also he's better off without the oscar unless he planned to get a 55g tank or more. Oscars are giant fish and it's best to not even start them in a 12g. You'll end up with a stunted fish before you notice. Check behind whatever the tank is sitting on cause aside from some pet getting it the only explanation is that it jumped. |

Have a dog?? check him out to I'd say he jumped from being in a small tank as well, oscars are very large fish, they should never be in something so small. As an owner of a a few oscars, I belive that no one should buy these fish unless they have they proper means to take care of it, a 15 gallon isnt how, even at a small size. If there was a plan to move this fish ASAP I dont see that huge of a problem. So many people these days buy Oscars without the large tank first. I would like to do a comparrison for you do you know roughly how old these O's are? There closest size you can guess anyways, I bet it shows some signs of not having enough room, Mine are about three months from petstore age and they are almost 5 inchs. If you fish is older theres a problem and maybe the best thing to do would be getting a new tank, or giving the fish away... Sorry lol I go off when I hear about O's, they are lovley fish. OH I would check your house as you would with a contact lens, on your knees, slowly, and use your eyes...I had a goldy jump out once made it three rooms over under a dresser!!!!! When O's jump out they also get darker in color as they dry out use a flashlight if you have to. Hope this helps Angel Eel Last edited by angeleel at 02-Apr-2005 12:05 |
