i recently seen a fish called a needle nose fish in my local fish store i cant seem to find any information about them? fish was probally about the length of two middle fingers together. any help would be great Thanks!

I know these. Needlefish. They are a type of gar. Very cool they never exceed a foot and are highly predatory. I was considering them but I think they need a big part live food diet. Hope i helped...

they can be housed in fresh water, however really are brackish.
they should get about 8-10 inches, i haven't really seen any of them bigger than that.

a 55 gallon should be enough. and a long tank is better than a high as they are top water fish.
