they would be fine. but as others will say, depending on the size of the tank. i'd say add some mates with them so their more active

What else is going to be in the tank? And what size is the tank? Like has been said 5 will be fine, but if you have room, get a few more...they really looke best in larger schools...Or something that is similar the cardinals are lovely if you water conditions will allow them, or glowlights, along with Harlequins are nice...I know my neons, glowlights, and harlequins all school together, though mine might just be strange

That is a big question with basically no infomation given.
It with depend on the tank you have and what is in the tank.
Personally I think you would be happier with Cardinals as they are usually stronger and certainly look a lot more atractive, that is if they are suitable for your tank.
