After four days the replacement tank is up and running. I have also bought another Eheim pump Pick up 2008 it has a three year gurantee. I can add some Eheim Substrat therefore it is 50/50 substrate and filter foam.

I made a few minor alterations to the aquscape nothing drastic.

At the moment I have the Both Eheims running this will allow the new pump to start the bacteria going possibly leave both in for a few weeks.

The water has cleared up about 90% after one hour.

I managed to save about 20lt and I did not wash the substrate it was in with all the plants, DW & fish etc.

Keith

Near enough is not good enough, therefore good enough is not near enough, and only your best will do.

I'm glad to hear things are getting back to normal, though the thought of having to start over is terribly depressing none the less...I know losing a tank is just aggravating to say the least...but it's all for the best, even if we don't know it at the time...heidi
