Hello all,
I have just recently set up a 29g tank. It is fully cycled and currently is home to
2 fire dwarf gouramis,
3 cori catifish,
2 zebra danios,
3 other danios. y
Any suggestions on what other suitable tank mates would be appropriate. I was thinking of getting an alage eater and 2 more dwarf gouramis. Also, how many more fish would be o.k in a tank this size. Sorry for all the ?'s this is my first tropical tank.

I would get more cories...of the same kind. Get about 5 more. Also I would get more danios. It is better to have all one kind but if they look similar they may school. I would get 3 more of each type.
I wouldn't get any more dwarf gouramis because males can fight. You probably have 2 males now, since females are hard to find. 2 will be good for that size tank.
After upping the numbers of schooling/shoaling fish you would be fully stocked.
Danios can be nippy so watch them around your dwarf gouramis. They will be alot less nippy the more you have.
You could add 3-4 ottos for algae...just make sure you have algae for them to eat. Most won't eat the algae wafers, so be sure they have a good supply of algae.

Add more Corydoras, as they like to stay in schools & you can also add more Danios of the same species as you already have.

Enough algae excellent question. If you have drift wood and or orniments and it is covered in a green mat of algae that would be plenty.

Start off with one Otto and when buying make sure it is fat and healthy also eating well

I have 5 Ottos in my Betta tank and they can never keep up with the algae.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info
