SheKoi![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fish Addict Posts: 667 Kudos: 553 Votes: 4 Registered: 11-Feb-2004 ![]() | thats reminded me, what order should i move the fish over, i'll have to move most of plants and bogwood roots etc straight away to aquascape the new tank, i was also going to use the old gravel as it will be covered in bacteria. how would you go about swapping over the tanks? i'll have 10g 20g, 40g and 60g but thinking of dismantling the 10g and putting the fish into the 60g, the 10g is where the 60g will be going. cheers for replies, i'll keep all up dated www.blooming-brilliant.co.uk |
newfishboy![]() Fingerling Posts: 32 Kudos: 18 Votes: 0 Registered: 26-Mar-2004 ![]() | looking forward to seeing you tank being put together. could you set up the new tank, as if you had just moved the old one? i mean put your new filter onto your 40g to get it up and running, then setup your new tank, with gravel etc from old tank and then use as much of the water you can into the new tank. the old gravel, bogwood plants will then have bacteria already on and the filtler will be ready becasue you put it on your old tank for month etc. just idea?
