My computer broke down and there was no sight of recovery for it so... well in the past 3 days i aquired a 10g tank. It is all set up and ready for fish. It already has one buenios aries and 2 glolites. As for my other tank ( also a 10g )...there is 0ne gold barb, two cherrie barbs, and 6 x ray tetras. Well All in all i have 12 fish and need a few more. I was wondering if there was a combo that i could arrange to fit both tannks...? They are very pretty and would go well with your other tetras. You should probably get more Cherry Barbs, and more Buenos Aires. It sounds like you are picking fish that look good in groups. If you add a school of 6 Von Rio Tetras to your new tank. Add 2 Cherry Barbs, maybe 2 more Buenos Aires Tetras, and maybe some algae eaters and you should be set. If anyone else ahs any better ideas please feel free to correct me or add to my suggestion. Christina |

The rest of the fish I think are all schooling. A school is 6+ fish not 2 or 4. X-ray tetras(aka Pristella) are fairly small and might do fine in a school in a 10g if your keeping up on water quality. The gold barb should probably just go back to the store along with the buenos aires tetras. 10g tanks are too small to put in 2 different types of schooling fish and almost too small for even 1 type of small schooling fish. Being slightly bigger than the others and sometimes agressive in small spaces the buenos aires tetras would be better off in a bigger tank or back at the store. Then you could get more glolights and have one 10g with a school of glolights and one 10g with a school of x-ray tetras. The cherry barbs would be fine in either tank. |

AS said above I would take the tetras back and go for a school of smaller fish. BA get fairly large as I know because I have a school of them in my 55 gallon. Try and find a store that will take them back and possibly give you a credit. Good luck with the tank and Im trying to think of something colorful that stays kinda small and would be happy in a 10 gallon besides guppies. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I was thinking of bring back the BA and the the other 2 tht dont belong ad this is what iam thinking.. In my first 10... The pristellas (6) they are happy.... The two cherries.... And the gold barb... In my 2nd 10g... Maybe a school of harlies or a school of neons... Is this good...both will be heavily planted and will be properly taken care of 24/7... 20 GALLON LONG CURRENTLY EMPTY ~~~~ 10 GALLON W/ STRIPPED CONVICT |

They are rather large schooling fish and need a much larger tank. Probably closer to a 55g. |
