i wanted to get shinners for my house in there own tank. i found them to be Mucho$$$$.will they do o.k in a round pond kit(that i may pick up, if i get shinner) out side?

Which shinner are you refering to? There are dozens of different shiners in North America. Most will do fine outside, and even winter over. But some from the southern parts, can't handle the icy winters if you are more north.

Mucho $$$$????? Go out and catch your own. All you need is a fishing liscence.

they do fine in my tank untill my piranha shoal cruises up to them n in an out door pond my buddy has literally thousands in his pond n there in with over 100 koi
