Today I just happened to wake up in the middle of the night and noticed I couldn't see into my tank and the fish were gasping. I think my diy co2 malfunctioned and entered the tank. I can't think of anything else. The tank was crystal clear just hours earlier. I just did a 50% water change and the tank is still cloudy. Is it possible that the yeast are reproducing inside my tank?

Anyone have any ideas?

you take readings?

I doubt the yeast is doing much other than rotting in the tank, i don't think there'd be enough sugar to keep them happy. Did you check your co2 line for that nasty sludge to see if it crept up the line and got into your tank?

Fallout, I am in deep trouble.
Water is really white and smells just like co2 mixture when you change it.

I've disconnected mixture hours ago, and I didn't notice much in the tube. I already changed half the water and it didn't even put a dent in it.

NH3 did rise to 1 ppm. The tank really smells. Lost a few fish before I could remove.

Fallout,

I know the post was of the same subject, but right now I am in emergency mode and I think that supersides a double post. I'd like as much feedback as possible. This topic name wasn't that specific.

I think you might have to do a few water changes to fix it also add as much airation as you can get into the tank.
