 | Oscar and Betta |

A 2" slow-moving flowy-finned betta housed with a bunch of big, aggressive carnivores would not be a good idea at all. | niggit Fish Addict Posts: 631 Kudos: 282 Votes: 0 Registered: 29-Jan-2003  | bettas reputation for being aggressive is very exagerated... a lot of people mistakenly believe that they are nasty enough to be kept with oscars, pirahna, etc... however, bettas are actually quite peaceful fish except when it comes to other bettas (or fish that resemble other bettas). their aggression is only them defending their territory. otherwise, they can be kept quite nicely with small, community fish, not big mean oscars!  |
