	PH is always low lately

I have been a long time reader of the site, but this is the first time I have had a need to post. anyway, I have had my tank for a while and everything has been good, and have kept a steady PH of about 7 with this white powder from the LFS, but lately it seems I cant keep the PH above 6.5, regardless of water changes or the powder? any ideas??

More importantly than KH, what is your tab GH? Meaning, is your water really soft? Very low GH readings mean that there is not a lot of buffer in the water, so any element that softens water (peat moss, wood) in the tank can cause the ph to drop even further. Then let the water sit for 24 hours in a container and test it again.
