Raising little cory fry is really rewarding and fun, and the little fish are just so adorable! Pandas are some of the easier cories to spawn and breed, so your fish could serve as an introduction to raising Corydoras catfish. Just as a side note though, I've heard of panda fry that successfully hatched and survived in a community tank. If you are lazy and decide to let the eggs be, you may still end up with a baby panda or two. |

The trigger is often a water change that decreases overall temperature slightly. The eggs and fry will do much better if they stay in the same water, so if you think you will want to raise some pandas, breed them in the 10 gallon and take out the parents, rather than breed them in the 55 gallon and take out the eggs. IME, cories will lay eggs on both glass and plants. Beforehand, they will clean the surfaces and if they feel that leaves are too flimsy, I don't think they will use them. |
