I just wanted to know if there is some peaceful odd fish that is ok to have in a 75usg tank?
Or any other peaceful/semi aggressive odd fish that will be ok with other fish like keyholes, plecos and catfish?
Hopefully i will soon get a 125usg tank and what kind would you have in that tank..oddfish..or any other nice colourful fish?
Thanks,
Robby

I know human beings and fish can co-exist peacefully.

Some (usually adult) flagfin Prochilodus (fei fengs), as with common plecos, have the unfortunate tendency to rasp at the slime coats of other fish; in addition, many specimens incessantly chase similarly-colored (that is, silvery) fish (especially those of similar morphology, as tinfoil barbs).

For Feifengs, it would be good to have some algae pellets to supplement their diet. They are known to be aggressive to their own kind but is mostly good with other fish.

Yes, chris's fish can get agressive as they mature. Don't hold me to this, but I think they get bigger than 4" too.

Do stingrays in the 125!

i would think that a sting ray would need more than 125 gallons. odd ball fishes could be leporindis, african leaf fishes, baby whales, peter elephant, smaller knives.

Chris, your half right on that. It really depends on how wide a 120 is. I know, gallon-wise, it is enough. But, the real factors are width and length. Any ray tank should be at least 4' x 2'. Height really doesn't matter. So, in theory, you could have a 60 gallon custom made ray tank (like I was planning on building this summer if it weren't for my mom ]

But, if I'm not mistaken, a standard 120 is only 18" wide, so the only species I would think of keeping would be sobina or MAYBE hystrix. These are in the 1' range. Recticulatas are about 2' when you include those enormous tails. If rays are much longer than the width of the tank, they get pretty stressed out.

[corney joke]And jeez, man, remember. Baby whales grow up!!! In a few years you're dealing with a 30 foot orca.

The plecos will suck on the slime coat of alot of fishes, but if you were to get rid of him I would suggest the following:

Senegal Bichirs
Palmas Polli bichirs
Retropinnis Bichirs
Hystrix Stingray
African Knifefish
African Pike

That's all I could come up with for a 75-125. Note that all of these cannot go into the same tank with your current fish and they all can't fit in the same tank with each other
