The RTBS, loach, and pleco are all going to want places to hide and they don't always enjoy roommates. It's better to be prepared just in case and give everyone a place (I usually try for a few extra vaccant hiding places as well). |

Also the type of Gourami it certainly would not want to be any of the smaller varieties especially at feeding time.
