About every two weeks, unless Heidi gets ambitious and sucks on the hose and does one out of friendship.

Depends on the tank, really, but on average it's a week and a half to two weeks. Betta tanks are scheduled every week. *shrugs*

Voted for: What is a Water Change/Gravel Vac?

Someone needed to vote for it.

It really depends on the tank and the stock. If I miss a water change on the tanks with blue rams then I find dead fish, so they get done once a week.

The other tanks are on the under stocked side, so they get done once every other week.

The guppie tanks are overstocked..Guppies...go figure. So they get done once a week.

With my Macrobrachium tank, I frequently (generally thrice weekly) change small volumes of water.

How often do you do water changes/gravel vacs?

I know my timing is sometimes based on what is going on, and how I feel, but on average how often do you do yours?

I keep small tanks, so every 4 - 5 days.

Every other week, because that's all it needs. My nitrates are only about 3ppm by the time a water change is due.

Voted for: once a week

I do once a week on my 10 gallon as there is two bristle nose in there which are being moved in a week, and once to every two week in my 30 gallon as it is very understocked at the moment.

I try to change the water every week, but well it usually doesn't happen quite that often...

I gravel vac only once a month on some of the tanks, though; my 29 manages to stay sparkling clean, and when I Python it, no dirt comes out. At all. Not that I'm complaining.

I love my fluval!

Every other week, I clean my hamsters out on the other week. Plus my tank isn't fully stocked. I clean my tank out a day before I get new fish though
