Landlord (old house) ..buying a new house (lossing over 30 fish). I have cycled my 55 (with cycle enrichment "Advanced Cycle" . My tank has settled and is fully cycled. I have added the following fish to it:7 Salt and Pepper Corys 1 YoYo 2 Blue Rams 1 Male Betta What would make a good school? Before I moved I had 15 glow-lite tetras. I enjoyed them. They were awesome and schooled well. I would like to try something different. Everyone please give me some insite. Beyond the school any suggestions on a show piece fish would be greatly appreciated. The Rams are the eye catcher for now. I have 1 Blue Ram that gets chased by everyone in the tank. If this keeps up for the next few days I am going to move him to my 30 gallon. Even the other male ram picks on him. I am giving the normal behavior the benefit of the doubt but it is not fun to watch. He isnt getting physically attacked but is chased and his colors are faded as a result of the chases. FreeBlaze ![]() |

Good schoolers, nice colors, peaceful. You could either have a really big school of them, which would look fantastic, or a regular-sized school along with some sort of tetra or peaceful barb. With your betta in the tank I'm not sure about a centerpiece fish. Gouramis or angels are usually recommended, but I don't know if they'd be a problem with him. I apologize if you already realize this but your yoyo would be much happier with some friends, at least two more would work ![]() ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

I bought the last YoYo from my LFS. I will have him some friends when they come in next Thursday. My Betta is less aggressive than the typical type which should make things easy. If any fish get too physical they can go into my 30 gallon which is mostly bottom dwellers and a few cherry barbs. I have room for about 13 inches of fish in there. FreeBlaze |
