So my boyfriend and I spent 3 hours last night re-doing my entire 10 gal tank. I had posted in the other section about the recent attack of snail pests. That mixed with the broken filter just left it a pigsty.

So everything went well and it looks beautiful!!!!! I said my fishes got Extreme Tank Makeover, haha.
Only thing is I had a dream last night that I woke up to find my tank infested with snails again You know it musta been bad when the memories of the snails haunt your dreams.

Ummm, if you reused the gravel or the plants or the fish, you may see the snails again... They have a nasty ability to survive extreme make overs even with bleach. Larva and small snails have been known to ride on fish gills to their new home. Good luck and keep that dwarf puffer iin mind!

Well its been almost a week now and not one sign of any snails left over. I used all new gravel, scrubbed my snail with a toothbrush, bought a new filter, got rid of the underground filter, and scrubbed the rocks and tank with salt. So...I may have WON!!!!! For now...
But if I see even 1 snail its getting tossed...because thats how it all started I was like "awwww look a little snail, how cute! )
Well...we know what happened from there.

Looks like you have discovered take precautions when buying fish or plants. I refuse to buy plants or fish if I see any in the sales tank. Even if I did get then as they can still come through the water. My clowns would make very short work of them.
As clowns are out of the question for you there should be several fish you can purchase to do the job. If you see them again dont feed for several days and let the fish eat them, they will as soon as they start to get hungry. You could squash a few to start them off.
