I am going to restock my 10 gallon when my live bearers die.(They will not live to long)
I am thinking of:
1 betta(siamese fighting fihs)
2 bristel nose catfish
6 blcak neons
I have an aqua clear 150 on it. If anyone has any other ideas that include 2 bristel nose then I am happy to read them.

Thanks!

I recommend that you not put 2 bristlenoses in a 10g. You can have 1, but that's pushing it even. You'd have to keep up on your maintenence since plecos add so much to the bioload.

Other than that your stock sounds fine as is, with an addition of maybe a couple more b neons, a couple cherry barbs, smaller rasboras (like brilliants), pencilfish, another small school of small tetras (like glolites), or rainbows (threadfins or celebese).

HTH

The bristle nose are staying for now as they are not causing to much ttrouble and I am pretty attatched to them. In a 10 gallon another school of tetras! That would be way overstocking!

Not necessarily. You have to consider bioload. Two schools of small tetras add less waste to the tank than 2 plecos.

I agree with Dani, you should move one bristlenose. The problem isn't that they will cause trouble, it is that they are waste machines. Two bristlenose plecs working in tandem can quickly foul up a small tank such as yours, and adversely affect the water quality. It is in the best interests of your fish that you remove one BN. I know that they are super-awesome, but you don't want them to die, right?

I also agree in that another school of tetras (or like fish) would be okay, after you move a BN. They don't have much impact on the water quality, and are nice to look at. Two schools of tetras can be quite a beautiful sight, a fact that my lemons and cardinals can attest to.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
