Well... things seem to be slowing down die-off wise in my 55g. It may have been chloramines afterall...

I'll give it another week before adding any fish. Currently, theres:
1 peckolitia
2 angelfish (babies, too)
1 apistogramma cacautoides
...jeeze, this list just gets smaller each time I post it...hopefully, this will be the last time it'll get small.

So, once it's stable, I need to restock this lonely tank. I'm a lover of agressive predators, but strangely, I fell in love with angelfish, too. So what do you think would go in there? I like apistos, so I may get a girlfriend for my cacautoides, and then...

Suggestions?

What type of Peckoltia pleco is it? There are many species, and they vary in size.

Would you like your tank to include just peaceful South American fish? That's the direction you're heading in, so I assume you wouldn't mind keeping it up. Angelfish don't really do well with non-peaceful fish anyways, so they limit your stocking somewhat.

For starters, I'd suggest some tetras or cories. Nice peaceful fish, fun to keep, usually somewhat hardy, etc. You could also go with pencil or hatchetfish, depending on how much you like them. Curviceps and other dwarf cichlids would work, as would some of the slightly-larger cichlids, like festivums and keyhole cichlids. It is really up to you.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

Hatchets, and pencils are AWSOME fish, but make sure its safe and stable cause they can be sensitive but are worth it.
