Do you already have some of these fish or are you really set on them? Danios need quite a bit of surface area for swimming, and they can be a bit nippy with the long fins of the betta.

Check out the profiles section of this site to see what goes together, requirements etc. Type in the name of one of the fish on your list, find the compatible species list and go from there. I've found all kinds of interesting combinations using it. You can also go to logbooks, type in a tank inventory and see what the compatibility is, it will also tell you the ideal water parameters for your tank.

I wouldnt put danios in anything less than a 20 long. They are extremely active and need the space.

Sorry I dont like any of those choices reasons being

As stated the danios will require a bigger tank and can/will be fin nippers.
The platties will get big and also would prefer a different water conditions to the Betta and the Tetras.

A simple combination is M Betta, Cardinal Tetras, plus a few Khuli Loaches. With plenty of live plants.

The Cardinals are a easer fish to keep compared to the Neons.

Well thats my opinion any way.

You can see this combination in my Photo Bucket.

Have a look in [link=My Profile]http://

Danios & Tetra's like to stay in schools, so you need at least 6 fish.

Like stated before, danios need atleast 6 and a school of 6 danios would be too active for a 10g. I think they need atleast a 20g. I have a male betta and neons in my 10g. You could fit 10 neons or cardinals in a 10g with a male betta or a dwarf gourami.

After taking adivse from a pet store, I got the Danios about 3 months ago.

I already have 3 Plattys, 2 Danios, and 3 Mollys in the 10 gal, but am considering moving the mollys to the 46 gal upstairs... My betta is in a seperate one gal and I was considering giving him more space... If I cant put him in the 10 gal, I may buy another 2 or 5 gal for him and my snail.

Hows this:

3 Plattys
and 1 peaceful bottom feeder?

I already have the Plattys and I am wanting to keep them in the 10 gal. The 2 Zebra Danios I am considering moving them to a 46 gal, although I have my heart set on putting angelfish in there... Would they get along with angels and mollys?

It's a 10gal. Not to criticize everyone but it seems that almost all suggestions are way too heavy on bio load considering the lil' filter you'll be able to fit in there. Mind you, if you are willing to change your water twice a week and cleaning like crazy, you could put just about anything in there.

You have live bearers, so go with that. 1 male + 2 females. You may add a beta in there with no problem except that he may eat a few members of every fry. Provide live plants for your beta and for the fry to come. I would, actually I had a tank like that for a year, plant at each end of the tank. One end for the beta, the other for the LBs fry.

Suggest to use Aqua-Clear 150 filter. Put a sponge on the intake when you suspect your female is bearing.

Good luck !

Sponge
PS : This is ONLY my opinion based on my experience with such a tank/fish selection. You and/or others may have different taste and/or practice.

This is what I am doing with the 10 gal, simply because this is what is working.

3x Plattys (1 M and 2 F, all quarter-sized and will get to 2" if lucky)
2x Zebra Danios (They seem content and show no signs of discomfort)
SNAILS!!! (Lots of pretty snails)

Im going to re design it so that there is more gravel and it is currently without a filter, but I will be getting one shortly. They will be okay like this. My betta will also be getting a bigger bowl.

If its working now then I would keep it that way. I would just be prepared for the fry, if you haven't had any yet. And decide if you want to raise them or not, or just see what happens. It may get crowded fast. The danios may help control the population though. The ones I had before were very voracious eaters. (I can imagine they would like little fry)
I suggest a Aqua Clear Mini 20 for your 10g. I have it on mine and it does a great job. I use only sponges in mine and it keeps the water very clean and clear. Also you can adjust the flow...which I like.
Your betta would love a 5g. I had a male betta in a 1g and it was very timid and would be scared every time I approached the tank or made any movement. Now in his 5g planted, he is very happy. He swims around and isn't scared at all. I have a whisper 10i filter on there and have a nice little tank. Just a suggestion though...
