Rosey Red minnows are not goldfish, nor are they even related...

Actually, they are pretty closely related, as they are in the same family. They are about as related to each other as bettas are to gouramis.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

Rosey Red minnows are not goldfish, nor are they even related... they are simply a color morph of your typical fat head minnow. I prefer to feed these to my bichirs and hujeta gars due o the fact that they seem to be less disease ridden and are less messy.

and it'll be interesting to see a long finned variety...i'd buy them.

Rosie Reds are minnows. I have read where they are good dither fish for goldfish ponds. I believe there is now a long finned variety of rosies now also.

If your talking about Rosey Reds, I believe they are a type of goldfish(Carp in my eyes). I feed them to my Bichirs. I cold be wrong as they look like minnows, but kept extras in my 15gal and some(that I didnt catch) got large rather fast.

You're probably talking about the rosy red minnow. Their profile can be viewed [link=here]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/fathead.xml" style="COLOR: #808080[/link]. These little fish are interesting, if a bit dully-colored.
