I have Panda Cories, Glowiight tetras, Neon tetras and ottos. Is there a safe medication to get rid of them? I've used the lettuce method, it doesn't work for my snails, they ignore it, and I keep removing any that I see. I would like to get them out of my tank. I'm fully stocked so getting snail eating fish isn't a good idea.

You may get a CL for a few days & he'll do wonders with snails.

Try putting a piece of cucumber or courgette in the aquarium to attract the snails. Otherwise keeping attacking those snail hordes one by one.....

yeppers, a nice pair of yo-yos is just what the doctor ordered. You may be able to borrow some, or use the trick of buying them and returning them in a few days. How big is your set up? I had a bunch of snails but my wife brought home a big mormyrid that ate them all in no time, and the yo yos took care of what was in the other tank.

Oh, just an aside, tried that lettuce/algae wafer/cuke/zuchhini thing. from all those veggies, on seperate days, only one snail came out. I dunno, mebbe I just had carniverous snails but I don't think that method is worth beans!

Hellooo.. he's said the lettuce hasn't worked and he doesn't want to add fish...

What kind of snails are they and why particularly want to get rid of them? If they're not coming to cucumber or whatnot I don't suspect they're eating plants... I would just leave them

As far as medications, there are "fish-safe" medications out there, and the meds themselves shouldn't hurt your fish, *but* the die-off of snails could very well be dangerous for your fish because they'll decompose and foul up your tank...

They're pond snails. They like to eat my plants, but they don't like lettuce.

I have a 10 gallon tank, and I'm fully stocked so getting a snail eating fish really won't work. I've been trying to get rid of them for 6 months. Just this morning I pulled out 6 snails.

I wouldn't add any Medications & you don't have space for new fish, so you'll have to get rid of them by hand. Remember not to overfeed, as with overfeeding, the snails will multiply.

I think I'll ask about borrowing a clown loach, if they are available. Thanks for all the suggestions!
