If you want to keep both bottom feeders id go with something like this

6-8 neons
6-8 harlies
1 clown
6 bandits

Id be very diligent with water changes, maybe like 20-30% weekly.

I'll do graffiti,
If you sing to me in French.

1 clown pleco
-he is fine and going to stay(already own)
3 bandit cories
-they are very active and happy(already have)
5 neon tetras
-from another post people have said they will be
fine with that many, some for a little color
11 harlequins
-already own 6 of them

will this work???

I know ive said this before, but i really dont think a pleco and cories are a good idea. I think a pleco and a proper school of cories would max out your bioload, especially if you want a big school of tetras/harlies. I would go with one or the other. Plecos, even small ones, produce a ton of waste and can make too small of a tank go bad even if they seemingly fit.

or what about 15 harlequins???

but i would like some more color in the tank, like adding neons.

would 5 neons work, or is that not enough to be happy.

then i could do 11 harlquin and 5 neons with pleco and cories.

Personally, I would get 12 harlies and 6 neons. Harlies school really well, and are so pretty! Neons seem a little boring to me.

They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes,
They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver,
So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

this:
1 clown plecostomus
3 bandit corydoras
9-11 harlequin rasboras

with:
2 keyhole cichlids(9 harlequin)
or
2 dwarf gouramis(11 harlequin)

which would work better in a 20 gallon community tank???

Id go with either cardinals or neons. Maybe 6 of them would be best. Cherry barbs are nice aswell.

By Dwarf cichlids i mean rams, apistos, or keyholes.

Some small barbs and tetras are:

Neons
Cardinals
Glowlights
Black Neons
Hatchet fish (not really a barb or tetra)
Cherry barb
Dwarf gold barbs

Im not sure id go with danios, your stock is starting to get full and a group of 3in, active fish may not be the greatest idea.

I'll do graffiti,
If you sing to me in French.

2) 6 small tetras
3) Dwarf Cichlid pair
4) Clown or 6 bandits (and maybe an oto trio)

Id go with either 6 bandits or 1 clown, not both. Mainly because the clown will produce a lot of waste. Im suggesting 6 because a school of cories is much more lively, and playful then a trio.

Edit: If you do cories and otos i wouldnt have more than 3 otos and 6 cories.

1)4-6 cories
2)3-4 ottos instead of a pleco
3)6-7 harlies
4)2 keyholes
