The only fish that I remember were tiger barbs. I just did some reserch on these guys and every thing that I found said that they are brackish/salt water fish. If this is true how then can these guys be living in fresh water. Kind of mixed up right now on this one. Are they like Salmon, Steelhead, or Stripers that can live in either? Thanks! Edit!!! I am a Enthusiast now!! How bout dat!! Last edited by Wingsdlc at 23-May-2005 22:32 19G Container Pond [IMG]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Wingsdlc/Ric |

They're a brackish water fish that eventually needs almost full saltwater to thrive. They also need a large tank. At least 75g. |

Ever time I go there their tanks make me so sad. Very over populated and many dead fish. GRR!! 19G Container Pond [IMG]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y118/Wingsdlc/Ric |

When they are young, they live in estuaries (brackishwater) but then move to coastal reefs when they reach about 4" long. They are much more tolorant of saltwater than freshwater however, and when my LFS gets a large shipment of juvies (about 2" long), we just put them in full-strength seawater and they do fine. ![]() I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |
