| Something new for a 65 gal. | |

I have a 65 US gal. tank (36x18x24) that currently has 1 ten-inch Pleco (his growth seems to have stalled, so I don't know how much bigger he'll get, if any bigger) and 8 SAE's at about 3 inches (I bought that many because I told they were delicate shippers and expected half of them to die, but they didn't...). I used to have a bunch of angels, too, but a power outage caused dramatic temperature fluctuations and I lost all but 1 or 2 of the angels. I hope to move the remaining Angel(s) into a new tank in the next few months, so I would obviously like to add something new to this tank. The tank is decorated with lots of driftwood and annubias and a few stands of jungle vals. I have a huge green water problem at the moment (hence why I'm unsure whether I have 1 or 2 angels), but it's clearing up a bit with the addition of salvinia floating on top. Otherwise, the water parameters are pretty good, PH 7.4, no ammonia or nitrite, and nitrate around 30. The filters do create a bit of a current, so fish that like that kind of thing might be good. Any Ideas? ![]() Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |

I myself would get at least one dwarf pleco. Good luck. Let us all know what you decide on. "I am a believer in punctuality, though it makes me very lonely" EV Lucas |

I keep otos in all of my tanks except this one, just because they are so small that I'd never see them, and I'd be afraid that the SAEs would bully them. Since I already have a huge pleco who can be very ornery at times, I'm not too keen on adding another bottom feeder. So, I guess that leaves mid- to top-dwelling fish. I wouldn't mind a school of large-ish fish (like hatchets or maybe congo tetras), but I already have a bunch of very schooly SAE's, so perhaps a few large centerpiece fish, like the angels used to be. It may be that I get a few more angels and try them again, but I'm looking for other possibilities. Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |

They're fairly active as far as tetrs go and are bigger than most. Check if your LFS has any....I've got some from the liberated tank that I got through the paper, but havent found them in the shops around here .^_^ Baby join me in death"~ ![]() ![]() |
