I also tend to keep the ceramic pins for the impellors. Since early treatment of common diseases is essential i tend to keep a range of the interpet meds- not that i find them 100% effective- but they do work better is you use em early- and at about £3.50 a tub you can afford to replace them if they go out of date, and you can afford to have a range. Id probably keep melafix and pima fix if they were more available round here. For those people that have smaller tanks containing delicate fish its handy to have denitrifying bags if there is a sudden raise in nitrate in the tank , saving you from having to do such radical water changes . Having a spare ph balancer is handy too. The most useful "spare equipment" by far , especially when you keep a veritable multitude of fish is a small spare tank with a mature filter on it. I have one and it has saved too many lives to count, both acting as a quarantine tank ,segregation tank and breeding tank. Last edited by longhairedgit at 01-Sep-2005 09:12 |
