billyspans![]() Banned Posts: 59 Kudos: 48 Votes: 0 Registered: 23-Jun-2005 ![]() | Hello, I have a spiny eel in a semi agressive South American tank and I have not seen him eat once. Actually he spends most of his time buried in the gravel. All of the food in my tank get eaten in a matter of minutes and he always misses out. Is there anything I can do? |

Spiny Eels are peaceful fish and are not able to compete with even mildly aggressive fish for food. The food needs to be placed right in front of their hole after the lights are out, and then they might get a chance to eat. If you can hand-tame the eel, which is relatively easy with Spiny Eels, then that would help a lot too. ![]() I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |
