Ok I'm changing the stocking on my community tank because I am not very happy with it right now. I was wondering if anyone thinks I should make any modifications to this list.

1 Opaline Gourami
2 Blue Rams
10 Neon Tetras
4-6 Small Cories
3 Otos
6 Rummy-Nose Tetras
Maybe a couple of Kuhli Loaches

Also what would be the best food/combination of foods to make sure everyone is happy and well fed in this tank

Ethan,

I don’t know, but it sounds a little crowded. 1+2+10+4+3+6=26 fishies, not to mention the potential addition of Khulies.

I assume the tank is 36” long, right?

In that case, I would say:

- 2 Rams
- 6 Black Neons (I don’t have luck with my Neons, although they stay alive now)
- 6 Cories
- 6 Rummies

And, if after a while it feels like there is some space left, add 5 Otos.

Food: Standard food (flake, frozen/freeze-dried, fresh) is good for your fishies, add sinking wafers for the bottom crew.

You would be well over stocked when they reached maturity if they were lucky enough to do.

The Opalines are better in a school
either the Rams but not both
Neons Cardinals a stronger choice and easer to keep.
4 Cories OK
3 Ottos OK
Rummy-nose no stick to the Cardinals.
Kuhlis forget them

Even with this list you will require a good filtration system and certainly plenty of live plants.

1 Opaline Gourami
2 Blue Rams
10 Neon Tetras
6 Small Cories
or
3 Otos
6 Rummy-Nose Tetras
6 Kuhli Loaches
1 opaline gourmai or angelfish (depending on how tall the tank is)

.. I think those might work

10 Neon Tetras
4-6 Small Cories
6 Rummy-Nose Tetras
