One, the swordtails might attack the angelfish's fins, males especially have been known to do that. Two, even a seventy-five gallon tank isn't big enough for bala sharks. They're quite active and grow to a foot, so they need a bigger tank. I'd leave them out. Other than that, it looks pretty good. You can add more fish to the list, especially if you dump the balas. You may want to get a partner for that ram, it's really fun to watch male/female pairs interact. |

jaloco![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hobbyist Posts: 62 Kudos: 65 Votes: 0 Registered: 23-Mar-2005 | do you think the angel fish needs a buddy or two. and also will it eat the glowlights, ottos, or the zebra danios? thanks |
Mys![]() Fingerling Posts: 47 Kudos: 39 Votes: 0 Registered: 06-Jun-2004 ![]() | My experience with danios is that they are too agressive with the large slower moving fish. I had a danio beat up on an angel and then when I switched tanks it got mean with a festivum. Just my experience. Maybe it was just this particular danio... |

However, there's a trick that will supposedly help. If you add the tetras first and let them grow out for several months, it will be totally safe to add a small angelfish. Once the angelfish reaches its full size (it will be too small to eat the already fully-grown glolights until then), the theory goes that it will no longer care about eating the small tetras, since it will be used to them. |
