| Stocking a new 120 gallon | |
billyspans![]() Banned Posts: 59 Kudos: 48 Votes: 0 Registered: 23-Jun-2005 ![]() | I am looking for options for bottom feeders for a new 120 gallon tank. So far the following fish are in the tank - all babies: 12 green barbs 3 Bala shraks 1 Spiny Cichlid 1 Jewel Cichlid Can anyone offer some suggestions? |

Is the tank going to be planted? What kind of substrate? Are there going to be stone caves or driftwood? If you can find them, some featherfin squeakers (a Synodontis species) would be cute, and if you have no delicate plants, you can have your choice of plecos if you're interested in them. A large school (12 or so) of one of the larger corydoras or brochis catfish would give you a lot of entertainment as well. You have a large tank that isn't fully stocked yet, so the possibilities are very great, indeed. Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |

There are both stone caves as well as driftwood and a few artificial plants. How well will the cory's do once the Southies get bigger? |

I'm tempted to say that in a large group with plenty of room for the cichlids to stake out territory, they should be okay, but I honestly don't know. With artificial plants and driftwood, a pleco or two would be ideal, though. Hoping that there must be a word for everything I mean... |

Stuff like that. I wouldnt chance cories in there Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |
