After getting some advice earlier, I had decided to get a green terror for my 50 gallon. Low and behold, neither of the two lfs in my area had any.

So now I'm back to where I started. I've pretty much given up on the idea of just having one larger fish in my tank. I have hard water. Thought I'd throw that in, because I know it makes a difference. Something colorful, if at all possible.

Well, you have so many choices!

Do you want this to be a community tank?

What are you interested in?

Tetras? Barbs? Rasboras? Dwarf cichlids? Catfish? Plecos?

Planted or not planted?

What kind of substrate?

What kind of filtration?

Most importantly, whats available in your area?

A good idea would be to head on over to your local LFS and write down everything that pops out at you. Then post back here, and we should be able to help you stock your tank based on that.

Right now it'd be easy for me to start stocking that tank, but it'd be with everything I like, which is not going to be exactly what you prefer.

And psst...how bout making it saltwater?
