| Stocking ideas for a 50 gallon | |

Low and behold, neither of the two lfs in my area had any. So now I'm back to where I started. I've pretty much given up on the idea of just having one larger fish in my tank. I have hard water. Thought I'd throw that in, because I know it makes a difference. Something colorful, if at all possible. |

Do you want this to be a community tank? What are you interested in? Tetras? Barbs? Rasboras? Dwarf cichlids? Catfish? Plecos? Planted or not planted? What kind of substrate? What kind of filtration? Most importantly, whats available in your area? A good idea would be to head on over to your local LFS and write down everything that pops out at you. Then post back here, and we should be able to help you stock your tank ba Right now it'd be easy for me to start stocking that tank, but it'd be with everything I like, which is not going to be exactly what you prefer. And psst...how bout making it saltwater? ![]() [hr width='40%'] I want to be what you always needed, Then I hope you'll see the heart in me" -Formerly known as the Ferretfish ![]() |
