Then my LFS was wooed by the Tetra people because they'd accidentally left him off the list of 'preferred customers' for a while, and to make up for this, practically gave him a huge swathe of new Tetra products to sell at a ridiculous discount. I now use Tetra's AquaSafe. It's fairly expensive (certainly more than the King British product) but it literally oozes quality from the moment you see the bottle. Oddly enough, this coincided with my getting the first batch of Pandas. They've never known anything else, and I think they'd turn their noses up at anything else now ![]() Let's just say that there is a noticeable difference. First of all, the King British product goes off fairly quickly, and ends up producing a rotten egg smell from the bottle, especially if it gets too warm in summer, which means that the money you saved buying the cheaper product initially ends up being wasted when you have to toss the remainder of the bottle in the bin. The Tetra product, on the other hand, seems to be made to survive everything this side of a direct nuclear attack. Plus, there is a quanitifiable difference in the well-being of my fishes since I started using the Tetra product regularly. The Characins (which have experienced both products) are visibly and manifestly more healthy since I started using the Tetra product. I wish they were paying me to say this, but once again, it's a case of being convinced by results. Of, if any Tetra executives pass this way, my marketing fees are very reasonable ![]() |
