	Stress coat = false ammonia reading?
neurotica1983 Hobbyist Posts: 67 Kudos: 77 Votes: 0 Registered: 03-Feb-2005	I've heard that some additives and de-chlorinators can give you a false ammonia reading... Does anyone know if Stress Coat could lead to a false ammonia reading? Also, what is the most highly recommended de-cholorinator?

Things like Amtrite and Amrid What brand of dechlorinator are you using now? Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I'm not sure I can believe that though since if used on a regular basis it would become part of the bioload effectivly. I personally use Aquarium pharms tap water conditioner.
